Things I learned on my first bikepacking adventure in mid-September:
1.Single speed fat bikes loaded with gear are not the best choice of bicycle for bike packing through the rolling hills of the North Shore.
2. Cheese is still one of my favorite foods, no matter what.
3. Going slow is fun.
4. Make sure your Snow Peak mug lid is packed away not on your mug when its swinging away from a carabiner on your pack.
5. Fly fishing and riding bikes go together like almond butter and flour tortillas.
6. Raingear stays waterproof for about 2 hours when its down pouring and you are pedaling, wet pants will funnel water into your dry boots, and the Gun Flint Tavern serves 3 finger pours of Blantons for cheap.
